Indoor Adventures

I realize that I am slow to be figuring this out, but there are apparently several really cool indoor fun-for-kids-play-places in town that are perfect for cold, rainy days or when you child just has a lot of energy. And, well, that's most days for us.

Kelly ("AK"), Dennis, Connor and I decided to check out the Childrens Museum this morning. The name is incredibly misleading because there is no way that I would take Connor to a museum in the traditional sense. Saying "do not to touch" and "be careful" are very often fighting words when they fall upon Connors little ears. This museum was anything but typical. It was essentially an indoor playground with a Chick-fil-A. If they would've been serving beer, I think we would've stayed even longer than we did.

What other suggestions do you have for us to check out in Atlanta? We are all ears for any suggestions on other great indoor entertainment this time of year so please share your findings! The Aquarium is one of the next cold Saturday trips on our list...

If you go the aquarium, GO EARLY when they open and be gone 2 hrs later. Our kids love it but it gets VERY crowded. We did the boat show last weekend and our kids loved that, we like things like that. The World of Coke even offers stuff for them to look at but wait a year or so. Have you been to Monkey Joes? Also insanely crowded and you have to keep your eye on your kiddos but if you go early it is not so bad. Indoor gyms (gymnastics places) are great at offering "open gym" times and those are awesome! You can also find $1 movies if you look at the theaters by you, especially in the summer. OR come up here one Sat. or Sunday and join us at our heated pool, they tent it in the winter!!!!!

Oh and do you use Bank of America, if so they have FREE museum days. Also our FAV place is the Science Museum near Cartersville, The Tellus. It is amazing and we go OFTEN!!!! Hop on 75 and it would nto be too bad of a trip for you. It is never crowded and VERY kid friendly. We would love to meet you there one day.
